Goal: Use polite words in Hindi when speaking to others.

You’ll learn: This lesson covers Hindi words for please, thank you, sorry, excuse me, hello, goodbye, yes, and no. You will see how to use them in short sentences.

Warm-up (30 seconds): Can you say “please” and “thank you” in English and Hindi? Try both quickly!

Mission: Practise using polite Hindi words in sentences and everyday situations.

  2. Act out greeting a friend with “नमस्ते”.
  3. Write the Hindi word for “sorry” on paper.
  4. Use “please” in a short Hindi sentence about food.
  5. Say “goodbye” in Hindi to someone at home.
