Phase 5: Level 1 (UK Hindi Samiti – Pravesh) – Sentences & Confidence — Part 34 of 48

Goal: Practise asking and answering simple questions in Hindi.

You’ll learn: Today you’ll review common question words, practise making questions and answers, and play a mini quiz to check your Hindi skills.

Warm-up (30 seconds): Try to say “What?”, “Where?”, and “Who?” in Hindi as quickly as you can!

Mission: Let’s practise asking and answering questions in Hindi, then see how much you remember in a quiz!

Practice exercises:

  1. Say “Where do you live?” in Hindi.
  2. Ask your friend, “What is your name?” using Hindi words.
  3. Point to a book and ask, “Whose book is this?” in Hindi.
  4. Answer, “I am fine” (मैं ठीक हूँ) if someone asks, “How are you?”
  5. Count the number of people at home and say it in Hindi using “कितना”.

  2. How do you say “Who is your friend?” in Hindi?
  3. Which Hindi word means “Why”?
  4. Translate to Hindi: “How many books are there?”
  5. Write the Hindi word for “Name”.
